Anxiety, Grief, and the Search for Presence – Psychotherapy, Counselling in Auckland

Anxiety can feel like living inside a storm. Thoughts race, your body remains unsettled, and your heart grows heavy. Sometimes it is a background hum, barely noticeable yet draining; at other times it swells to a tidal wave that interrupts sleep, concentration, and ease. Grief has its own weather patterns too: sometimes a steady drizzle, sometimes a sudden downpour that takes us by surprise. In my psychotherapy/counselling practice in Ponsonby and Titirangi, Auckland, I help you navigate these inner climates. What matters is not to fight the storm, but to find a ground of calmer presence within it — a place where you can breathe again, and begin to live from a deeper place.
